Who should preserve their sperm?
Sperm banking is usually recommended for men who look to start a family in the future. That said, the scope of sperm banking is not limited to men who wish to postpone fatherhood. Men from military backgrounds, men diagnosed with terminal or life-impacting diseases such as cancer, or men undergoing surgical treatments that may have an impact on their reproductive health are also recommended to store their sperm. What is the minimum and ideal duration for preserving sperm?
While sperm can be stored indefinitely, at LifeCell, based on your reproductive goals, we offer cryogenic storage facilities for your specimen for a minimum of one year and no longer than ten years beyond which you may either undergo fertility treatment or discard and dispose of the specimen.

What are the security features of the collection kit?
The collection kit has been designed with three layers of protection to ensure that your semen collection kit is absolutely safe, secure, sterile, and tamper-proof when it is handled by multiple personnel and travels through various geographies during transit.
The collection kit comes with an external carton box wrapped in a tamper-proof outer cover. The outer cover has no mention of the service thus ensuring your privacy while availing the service.
As a third layer, the sperm collection kit is housed inside a steel canister to serve as protection against external impacts and also serve as an additional temperature maintenance layer.
What is the ideal age for sperm banking?
The amount of semen, sperm count and sperm motility starts decreasing continually from the age of 20. The decrease is quite significant from the age of 30. Hence though there is no specified age for sperm banking, it is recommended to preserve at an early age when all the sperm parameters are at their best.

No. SpermVault is a fertility preservation tool. It ensures that your sperm does not age while you do. The use of stored sperm for conception has been proven to be successful.
