PrePare II second trimester screening is performed between the 15th and 20th gestational week. However, if an expectant mom misses the first-trimester screening, then PrePare II is strongly recommended for screening chromosomal abnormalities.
What does this test screen for?
- Quadruple Marker Screening: It is a blood test that typically screens for markers of certain abnormalities (Edward’s Syndrome, Down’s Syndrome) and birth defects (Open Neural Tube Defects).
