Kitbox Instruction

Kitbox contains following items:

Blood Bag: Do not open before delivery. To be opened only by the doctor or the paramedic at the time of collection.

White Foam Brick: It has a polar pack written over. Place the foam brick in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator as soon as you receive it (the foam brick should be frozen for minimum of 24 hours).

Do not forget to carry the foam brick with the kit box while you leave for the delivery.

Maternal Blood Collection Vials: There are two more vials with Yellow & Lavender caps. Let these two vials be inside the kit box. Keep the kit box safe in a cool & dry place. This is for the collection of the maternal sample i.e. mother's blood after delivery (needed for testing of infectious diseases).

Baby Cord Purple Card (Mandatory to be filled): You have to fill the last page which has few questions. Also would require your spouse signature. Remaining will be filled at the time of collection by the paramedic/attending Doctor.

Please go through below-mentioned instruction carefully for adequate handling of the kit box:

  1. Ensure that the kit box contents are intact.
  2. Do not open the sterile blood bag until collection of umbilical cord sample.
  3. Place the foam brick flat in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator at the hospital as soon as you reach the hospital/before delivery (the foam brick should be frozen for minimum 24 hours).
  4. There are few more items as listed in the pack contents left, which has to be kept inside the kit box. Keep the kit box safe in a cool & dry place
