Dr Giridharan Appaswamy

Dr Giridharan Appaswamy is the Chief Scientific Officer at LifeCell. He has previously worked as a Scientist in the research and development division and has been instrumental in promoting extensive research and development, launching molecular assays for genetic testing and initiating xenofree hematopoietic stem cell expansion protocol from umbilical cord blood. Prior to his stint at LifeCell, he has held several leading research positions including the principal scientist at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre and postdoctoral fellowship at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, Germany.

He holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Hannover, Germany and Manonmaniam Sundarnar University, respectively.
